Canterbury Townhomes is a nice, quite neighborhood located in Carrboro NC, about 5 minutes from downtown Chapel Hill.

We are on a bus route on NC Highway 54 - 15/501 Bypass. Effective Janurary 2nd, 2002 -- all bus rides are free.

Located at the intersection of NC Hwy 54 and Abbey Lane, we are conveniently located to UNC, local shopping centers and Town/University entertainment events.

There are 112 townhouse units in 26 separate buildings that are about 50% owner occupied. Though we are a shared-interest community we are not a condominium or co-op community (each homeowner owns their portion of the building containing their unit in its entirety and the lot/land that it is built on) .  The community is out of the development stage whereby all units are individually owned by homeowners eventhough some units are rented out by their owners.  The Association does not own or rent any units (or any portion thereof) nor manage any units for their owners.

The Canterbury Townhomes Home Owners Association is a non-profit organization. It's leaders are elected by the membership body.
